Development for this conversion was a 4-year process in which Aircraft Performance Modifications was granted the STC as well as its PMA. Flight Testing was provided by High Altitude Aircraft Solutions where results yielded a 4 - 7% increase in airspeed.
Located on the under-surface and aft of the pressurized bulkhead, APM's Aft Body Strake Conversion reduces drag by creating an area of increased pressure under the empennage thereby reducing the amount of drag the empannage incurs during flight.
